The challenge: one day, multiple videos
Motherfit, founded by Michelle and recognised as Marks & Spencer’s go-to fitness and wellbeing expert for expecting and new mums, needed professional video production in Hertford for a major collaborative project.
The brief was ambitious: a full suite of pre- and post-natal exercise and meditation videos for the Parenthood section of the Marks & Spencer website, available to all Sparks members. Every video had to be delivered in both 16:9 and 9:16, so it would work on the website and on social media.
The biggest challenge? Every contributor, from professional models to Motherfit’s own instructors, was available for just one day of filming. Careful planning, tight scheduling and flawless execution were essential.

A Studio Set-Up for Success
With one day to capture an entire library of content, the answer wasn’t scale, it was precision. We sourced a versatile studio in Hertford and built a production plan that let every session flow without compromising quality or pace.
Designing the space: a studio layout that switched quickly between exercise and meditation sessions, keeping the look consistent while letting each video feel calm and purposeful.
Keeping the day moving: a detailed shot list and structured schedule meant all 15 videos were captured on time, with no rushed performances or compromised set-ups.
Filming for multiple formats: every shot was framed for both 16:9 and 9:16 from the start, avoiding the usual cropping problems when content is adapted for different platforms.

A Scalable Content Library
The finished series now lives on the Marks & Spencer website, giving Sparks members easy access to professionally produced pre- and post-natal fitness and meditation content. Both Motherfit and Marks & Spencer praised the quality of the work and the smooth production process.
